Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part II
[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]
Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly offer one of these. You normally put a bet (a dollar is the usual value) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like these are very tempting, they’re also incredibly complicated to win. You would need to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and place the side wager each time. That is $20 you could have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a wager with more favorable odds using that 20 dollars.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the complete casino edge from 2% with one zero wheel to a whopping five% in American. The one number bet has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much lower house edge.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the house edge can be a whopping twenty-five percent. No, that isn’t a typo. Due to the large amount of numbers you have to select, it is not advisable to wager on Keno to often. A number of times for enjoyment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your money on it or you will quickly discover yourself bankrupt.
